The permanent magnet coupling is a coupling that uses the magnetism of a permanent magnet for transmission. This kind of coupling does not have direct contact between the main and driven half couplings, so there is no friction, no noise, and It absorbs a certain degree of axial and angular displacement errors, and can play a role of slipping and protection under overload. It is suitable for light and high speed small machinery.
According to the structural characteristics of the coupling, there are three types of permanent magnet couplings:
1.CD type, with multiple pairs of magnetic plates on the circular plate, the relative angular displacement between the main and driven shafts is allowed to be about ± 5 °, and the radial displacement between the axes is 1-3mm. Therefore, a thrust device must be provided on both shafts during installation.
2. Type CR, there are multiple pairs of permanent magnet poles on the inner surface of the outer sleeve installed on one shaft and the outer surface of the inner sleeve installed on the other shaft. The advantage of this coupling is that it has no axial suction. In addition, radial displacement within 3mm is allowed.
3, CU type, allow angular displacement within 20 ° when transmitting in vertical position, and allow angular displacement within 30 ° when transmitting in horizontal position.
The permanent magnet coupling is a typical magnetic transmission pump for chemical process. Its key components are internal and external magnetic steel, isolation sleeves, bearings, etc. The material selection and structural design of these components have a great impact on the reliable operation of the pump.
